Luxury Hybrid Chauffeur Car
The World’s First Luxury Hybrid Chauffeur Car
For sometime now, iChauffeur have been looking at different ways in which they can reduce their emissions, to create a truly sustainable means of luxury travel. The first step in this ongoing process is the announcement of a new generation of chauffeur car to their luxury chauffeur car fleet - the Lexus GS 450h SE-L Hybrid Saloon.
What makes this special is that for the first time truly luxurious travel is available with a carbon footprint similar to a 4 cylinder regular car. The first Lexus Hybrid will be available to hire from iChauffeur in two weeks. This will allow business and private customers an extremely stylish and comfortable ride that won’t damage their conscience.
Andy Senior from iChauffeur said, “This hybrid technology will help us reduce our emissions, but without sacrificing luxury. Our customers seem to be very enthusiastic about the idea too, and we hope the rest of the industry will follow this lead.”
The Lexus GS 450 Hybrid is comfortable and stylish and iChauffeur have already placed orders for the newly announced Lexus LS600h which will be the flagship of the Lexus fleet when it is launched in the coming months. Andy Senior said, “This is just the start for us, the 600 hybrid is a fantastic car from every angle. We are keen to establish this as the car of choice for green thinking CEOs and again Lexus lead the way in hybrid technology. Mercedes-Benz will introduce a hybrid S Class in 2008, which we will also consider, but Lexus have a significant lead in hydrid technology.”
Hybrid cars use a combination of conventional powered engines combined with electric motors for in town and in slow moving traffic. This helps reduce localised pollution in towns and Ken Livingstone and Transport for London have announced that 40 percent of London buses will be powered by hybrid technology by 2012.
There is no such thing as a truly green means of transport apart from walking or cycling, but hybrid technology is available now, and represents a step towards a greener future. Andy Senior said, “We want hydrogen powered vehicles, but they are not available to buy yet. We really like what BMW have demonstrated in their Hydrogen 7, and look forward to hydrogen powered Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars when these become a reality.”
iChauffeur’s first hybrid vehicle will join their existing chauffeur car fleet in two weeks time.
